Several societies and scientific institutions are linked to the WAPM with the objectives to promote maternal, fetal and neonatal care. Four of these are the "INTERNATIONAL PERINATAL MEDICINE GROUP":

The Ian Donald Inter-University School of Medical Ultrasound is designed to address the needs of a clinician who has some experience in diagnostic ultrasound, but needs additional knowledge and practice in recent sonographic developments in both obstetrics and gynecology. It was established in 1981, during the 4th European Congress on Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology held in Dubrovnik by a multidisciplinary group of enthusiasts met at the Inter - University Center for Postgraduate Studies (IUC). It was planned to have annual meetings within this institution. 

 fetus logo.jpg The  Fetus as a Patient” is an international society which was founded in 1984 by a group of specialists including Prof. S. Campbell (UK), Prof. J. Dudenhausen (Germany), Prof. M. Hansmann (Germany), P. Jouppila (Finland), K. Maeda (Japan), Z. Papp (Hungary), J.G. Schenker (Israel), I. Timor – Tritsh (USA) and J. Wladimiroff (The Netherlands). The founder and first President was Prof. Asim Kurjak (Croatia).
The aim of “The Fetus as a Patient” is the progress of the maternal, fetal and neonatal care.
 IAMP logo(6).jpg The  International Academy of Perinatal Medicine  (IAPM) is a scientific, international and independent academic institution for the study, reflection, dialogue and promotion of Perinatal Medicine across the world.
The objective of the Academy is to create a space for the study, reflection and dialogue on Perinatal Medicine, especially on those issues related to the bioethics, the application of the technological advances and the sociologic, anthropologic aspects of the speciality. Furthermore, the Academy endavours to constitute a friendship - based bond among the WAPM, EAPM and International Society "The Fetus as a Patient" that have sponsored its foundation.

 logoMMbis.JPG Matres Mundi International  is a non-profit association that aims to improve healthcare for mothers and children in developing countries, as well as among the immigrant population and the underprivileged in Spain.
Since its foundation (Barcelona, 1996), Matres Mundi has carried out various projects around the world and conducted a significant  number of actions in other fields (training courses, grants, awareness-raising campaigns, etc.).
